Harry Potter and It's Time to Give Snape His Flowers

Today we start on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Did Slughorn think that he did a GOOD job when he edited that memory? Harry Potter and I know we were panicking but that horcrux wasn't even protected any better than the Sorceres stone. I've got some questions.
